What is Pixel-Advertising?

Pixel-Advertising is a relatively new advertising concept devised by a UK student by the name of Alex.

The idea behind pixel-advertising is that advertisors could buy blocks of pixels on a webpage to get the right to upload an image and link it to a website of their choice. Usually the pixels are sold in blocks of 100 (10x10 pixels) and the price of these pixels can range from 1cent to $1,000!

Alex's page "MillionDollarHomepage" (http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com/) has 1million pixels on it, each selling at $1. He has in fact made over $750,000 so far since the launch of his site.

The site has become very popular and receives a huge amount of daily traffic. Advertisors have reported huge increases in their traffic as well as sales after purchasing space on Alex's page.
